The Bliss Charity School has received £8,810 in sports funding.
This allocation has been used to support the school’s partnership with Campion School , with competitions and sports leadership training, this is carried on from last year following successful evaluation.
Much of the funding has been allocated to funding a ‘full time’ sports apprentice who has worked with children in all ages both within school lessons as well as lunch, break and after school.
Some of the funding has been used to enhance children’s experience by introducing new sports such as archery, hockey, cricket and tennis.
There has been a great impact with children reporting an enjoyment of sports and this has been demonstrated by the increase in numbers participating in our school sports. By remaining healthy and taking part in exercise children are increasing their own levels of fitness which we envisage will transfer to the other subjects in the classroom and attendance levels.
